Charles Collin was born in Fordham on 16th March 1910 (Newmarket Q2-1910 3B:476), baptised in Fordham on 8th May 1910, son of Benjamin and Mary Ann COLLIN
(née FLEET).
1911 census...Aged 1, he was at Church Street, Fordham with his father Arthur Benjamin COLLIN [44] labourer born Fordham; his mother Mary [40] born Isleham; brothers William John [15] (domestic boy) and Jack [3] and sister Florence Emma [10]. All the children were born in Fordham. All of Mary's six children survived. He married Bertha Eva PARR (born 16-3-1916) in 1935 (Cambridge Q4-1935 3B:1403).
